Temporary residence
Temporary residence for the purpose of: business, employment, family reunification, study, special activity, research and development, Slovak living abroad or status of a person with long-term residence in another member state of EU.
Permanent residence
Permanent residence entitles a national of a third country to stay, travel and re-enter the territory of the Slovak Republic. There are two types of permanent residence: for five years and for an unlimited time.
Long-term residence
Long-term residence is granted for an unlimited time after 5 years of authorized and continuous residence in the territory of the Slovak Republic or as a holder of a Blue Card who resides in the territory of the Slovak Republic for at least two years before submitting the application.
